![]() The Art of Travel is a tribute to the beauty of the freedom of travel… the pleasure of a great coffee in a wonderful café to the incredible delight of discovery in a new place.
With a trusty Moleskine notebook by her side, Jane Grylls immersed herself in the beauty of life and place. Attending galleries only dreamed of, from the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim in New York to The Tate Modern in London and The Louvre in Paris to then experiencing the thrill of discovering further works and galleries.
Being witness to the great works of Jean-Michel Basquiat at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, stumbling across one of the most important collections of Matisse at the Baltimore Museum of Art and being reduced to tears in front of the original drawings from Maurice Sendak’s ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ in the Jewish Museum of Art. The beauty of travel is that the experience occurs at a certain time and place, however, the memory lives with us forever.
The Art of Travel captures memorable moments and places. Catching the subway from Brooklyn, meandering down Fifth Avenue to exploring French Canada, London and Europe, or discovering a true love, Italy. These images remind us of subway faces, fabulous food and drinks, incredible landmarks, Italian beach chairs, and the best croissants ever eaten… to name a few.
