This issue is one of our favourites and one of our biggest! We’ve travelled far and wide (someone’s got to do it) to bring you a roll call of some very creative women in Australia and abroad.

fl-2.jpgFor Team LC there is nothing more exciting than discovering new ‘talent’ as they say in television and we have, in bucket loads. Sit back, relax and discover textiles, dolls and illustrations to die for, not to mention the story behind Chanel’s fabulous Mobile Art Exhibit (thank you Mr Lagerfeld) or the incredible paper perfection of Violise Lunn.

fl-3.jpgThe biggest news? This season, designers everywhere are taking inspiration from Russian dolls - the ‘in’ thing on the creative landscape at the moment. Babushka or Matryoshkas, whatever your preference, you’ll find them all over this issue. You can join in the fun and make your own Babushka doll too - it’s simply about working out your own spin on this iconic doll and applying it.

Add into this mix Amy Butler, the textile design guru, who is coming to town - YAHOOOOO - sorry it’s not often we lose control but how exciting! Always dreamt of getting up close and personal with the fabulous Ms Butler well now you can. Join us for ‘An Evening with Amy Butler’ and let her bold and colourful fabrics inspire you...the champagne could help too...
